Preventing procedural complications and reducing costs of OR delays; eliminate 1, 60-minute delay and prevent $1,560 in extra facility spend.

The PureSteel™ Demag Station is a mobile, standalone workstation built for sterile processing and assembly teams who need a fast, verifiable way to demagnetize surgical instruments in assembly. It combines an surgical instrument demagnetizer with the MagVision™ Film to remove magnetism and visually confirm it’s gone, eliminating the guesswork. It’s built for high-volume facilities handling cardiac, ophthalmic, and other microsurgical procedures where magnetized instruments pose the greatest risk.

Unlike tabletop or handheld demagnetizers, the Demag Station is the only solution that combines one-step demagnetization and visual go/no-go confirmation in a standalone unit with an integrated design, full mobility, and open staging space to optimize department support. The demagnetizer sits flush with the table surface to prevent damage or dropping, and the station remains a fully usable workspace even when the demagnetizing component isn’t in use.

The Demag Station has a compact 24″ x 24″ footprint that fits easily into existing department footprints. It provides more work surface area for departments that cannot add further counterspace.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s a mobile workstation that removes magnetism from surgical instruments and gives you a clear visual, via the MagVision™ Film, confirming that magnetism has been removed. It centralizes demagnetizing and verification in one station at the point of use.

Magnetized instruments can attract or repel small metal objects like staples, needles, and clips. This can interfere with precision tasks like suturing and increase the risk of adverse events or injury to staff and patients.

Hold the instrument to the MagVision™ Film. It gives you immediate visual confirmation.

Yes. The Demag Station is fully mobile, so it can be brought directly to your instruments and put away when it’s not needed. It can move where needed and does not require installation.

The station will automatically shut off after 1 minute.

When you press the power button, a blue light will appear. When the blue light is not visible, the station is off.

The station includes an integrated demagnetizer and MagVision™ Film. Both are replaceable if you need to restock or service the unit: PureSteel™ Demagnetizer (SKU PS-DEMAGNETIZER) and MagVision™ Film Kit (SKU PS-MAGVISION-KIT).
