As endoscopy procedure volumes continue to grow, there is increasing pressure to keep pace without compromising patient safety. The elevator channel of flexible duodenoscopes has repeatedly proven difficult to clean and inspect, and even facilities following manufacturer instructions correctly have faced infection risk. The PureClear™ 10x Magnifier gives GI and SPD staff a clearer view of instrument conditions, helping catch bioburden or hidden risks to reduce infection events and improve patient safety.

The PureClear™ 10x Magnifier is built to support ANSI/AAMI ST91 (Section 7.8.2) guidance for a minimum of 10x magnification when inspecting the elevator channel of flexible duodenoscopes.

Designed with compliance, patient safety simplicity and optimization in mind, this standalone, battery-powered device fits within existing inspection space without requiring an external monitor or construction, helping keep workstations organized and efficient and providing staff peace of mind that equipment is safe for procedure use.

No, the PureClear 10x Magnifier is not waterproof.

Some equipment features such as the elevator channel on flexible duodenoscopes, are difficult to inspect by design and require enhanced magnification to view. ST91 7.8.2 recommends minimum 10x magnification on duodenoscopes.

No, the PureClear™ 10x Magnifier has a built in 5” LCD color monitor so an additional monitor is not required?

Yes, the 10 Magnifier comes with standard HDMI output and micro USB to adapt to up to a 24” monitor with high quality image.

The elevator channel is difficult to clean behind and inspect around so debris and bacteria can linger and pose an infection risk. An outbreak of CRE infections connected to duodenoscopes from 2013-2016 led to 3 deaths and a Senate investigation that called for new FDA-mandated surveillance and manufacture IFU updates.

The 10x Magnifier comes with a Flexible Arm and bracket so it can be mounted to an existing workstation or pegboard.

No, the 10x Magnifier consists of simple features and is a simple “plug-in and go” device.

Yes, the 10x Magnifier record images and video on Micro SD, with playback and freeze image options for greater inspection.

The Snapshot remote is a handheld remote that allows users to zoom or take pictures and photos while instrumentation is staged on the tabletop surface. If can be unplugged when not in use.
