Streamline cleaning of instruments with cavitation directly in the sink to enhance workflow management and increase capacity
The PureSteel™ Inline Sonic System brings ultrasonic cleaning into your reprocessing sink to provide powerful cavitation for fine, detailed instrumentation without sacrificing countertop space or disrupting workflow, helping to eliminate bottlenecks in decontamination and reducing foot traffic between sinks and equipment, all supporting your staff and processes. Designed for PureSteel™ Healthcare Sinks, the Inline Sonic System enhances flexibility by being customizable and can be installed in any sink basin to best serve your department needs, whether that is the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd basin!
The Inline Sonic System provides workflow management by acting as a fully functional sink basin to manage overflow, freeing up standalone sonics to focus on complex devices and providing support for loaner trays, adding cavitation cleaning for suspect quality often found with loaner trays. Cycles can be programmed as low as 1 minute for quick, additional cleaning. The Inline Sonic can be designated as an additional sink for soaking, cleaning or rinsing. Full sink functionality remains, even if the ultrasonic capability is not in use or in need of service, meaning no pause in process!
The Inline Sonic System is only ultrasonic capable of a gross rinse, allowing most bioburden to be rinsed down the drain without filters that need to be cleared or replaced, reducing service needs. The system is quieter than most sonics, supporting staff comfort.

Features to help your SPD
- Ergonomic - Height-adjustable design, ergonomic wrist rests, and a pegboard that keeps tools at the optimal working height — reducing strain and improving staff safety throughout every shift.
- Flexible - Installed directly into the sink basin without occupying floor or counter space, fitting seamlessly into your existing layout and workflow. Install in any basin in the workflow; wash, rinse or dedicated basins strictly or sonic cycles.
- Serviceable - Basins are completely removable and replaceable when service is required. Remains a fully functional sink even when the sonic is not in use — no downtime.
- Organized - A backwall pegboard adjusts with the sink to keep manual cleaning tools at an ergonomic height. Custom pegboard layouts and a full suite of accessories outfit each sink to its specific purpose.
- Customizable - Sonic cycles can be programmed as low as 1 minute, offering the flexibility to meet a wide range of instrument IFU cleaning time requirements.
- Compatible - A 30" x 18" basin size accommodates larger devices and instrument trays, making it suitable for high-volume and complex instrument sets.
- Safe - An overflow prevention drain and containment lids protect staff from overflows and aerosolized blood and soils during sonic cycles.
- Storage - Built-in storage for lids and tools keeps the decontamination area organized and essential items within reach during processing.
- Space Savings - Fits into existing department PureSteel™ 2-bay or 3-bay sink layouts without taking up counter space. Leaving the countertop free allows for more efficient staging and preparation of instrumentation.
- Staff comfort & support - Adopting more efficient technologies and tools supports technicians. Helps break up heavy bioburden to aid staff in the cleaning process, reducing fatigue and retention in a field with chronic staffing challenges. A quieter design is more comfortable for staff.
- Increased capacity - Addresses instrument volume fluctuations and bottlenecks by being an additional sonic for simple, non-lumened devices to allow standalone units to focus on complex trays or devices such as ocular instruments. It’s also a functional sink to provide additional space for soaking, washing or rinsing to keep the process moving.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Inline Sonic System is an ultrasonic system that fits into any 30” PureSteel™ sink basin and uses cavitation for fine cleaning of instrumentation. The system offers flexibility by fitting into any basin to best fit workflow needs. It’s ideal for departments that want to reduce workflow bottlenecks at their main ultrasonic systems.
The system allows departments to perform manual cleaning tasks with short cavitation processes, as fast as 1 minute, helping eliminate bioburden during instrument cleaning.
The Inline Sonic sits in a 30” PureSteel™ sink basin to free up countertop space and be a fully functional sink basin, even if the ultrasonic function is not in use.
Our Inline Sonic can plug into a standard 120v outlet so no upgrade is required?
No, it does not have hookups for lumen irrigation.
The system reduces handling of contaminated instruments by combining the sink and ultrasonic functions to clean multiple instruments at once, reducing handling and workflow to other ultrasonic systems.
The Inline Sonic is designed to be a fully functioning basin when the ultrasonic is not in use or needs servicing so manual cleaning processes can continue without creating a gap in workflow.
Sonic cycles can be programmed for as little as one minute, offering flexible cleaning cycles depending on the device and cleaning process.
The system includes a 30″ × 18″ basin, designed to accommodate larger devices.
An overflow prevention drain and containment lids help protect staff from overflows and aerosols during cleaning. The reduced handling of instrumentation adds protection from sticks and pokes.
Yes. PureSteel™ Sink Systems are height adjustable and a backwall pegboard adjusts with the sink to keep cleaning tools at an ergonomic height. The ultrasonic feature helps reduce technician fatigue by addressing the fine cleaning of larger quantities of instruments at once. The sonic also features a quieter design which is better for staff hearing.
